Welcome to our Czech conjugation app!
Our Czech Conjugation App is a unique free web tool that uses a controlled vocabulary of high‑frequency Czech verbs to help you practise real conjugation patterns with accuracy. It is designed to help learners master verb conjugation - the way Czech verbs change their form according to person, number, tense, and aspect - using the verbs that appear most often in everyday Czech. Learning these frequent verbs gives you a strong practical foundation and immediately improves your ability to speak and understand Czech in real situations.
Why did we develop the Czech Conjugation app ?
Conjugations are key in Czech! As pronouns are normally omitted in Czech, you need to make yourself understood with the person form you are using. Mastering the conjugations is therefore of great importance of verbs in Czech (as in other languages with complex conjugation systems). Their correct use is also very strictly evaluated in the official Czech exams (already from first levels, such as A2, which is required to obtain permanent residence in the Czech Republic -making a mistake in a verb form is considered a critical error that scores zero). For all these reasons, and because we wanted to help our students in this difficult tast, we have developed an online verb conjugator that until now did not exist on the internet in this form - free, reviewed, easy to use and with appropriate verbs.
What tenses are available at our Czech Conjugation app ?
At this moment you can practise the present, past, and future tense and positive and negative imperative. For the present tense we use basic A1‑level verbs, only imperfective verbs (we will add more soon). For the past and future tenses we use around 150 of the most frequent verbs according to the Dictionary of Frequent Czech Verbs (mixed level). We are continuously working on our apps and will bring new features soon.
How does the Czech Conjugation app work?
The Czech Verb Conjugator generates a random verb from our verb database and randomly selects a person. After you type the form, it automatically counts your correct and incorrect answers, and the correct form is displayed below. Note: We are still running tests. Let me know if you find any mistakes! Remember to write with correct Czech diacritics!
Which Czech Conjugation app to choose first?
You will find our mini apps in separate blocs. Choose the then tense you prefer to practise and keep your score!
